They're coming, they're coming, they're coming!

Well, I have gotten really lazy with the blogging and although I just slammed a gigantic Snickers bar I am still tired so I'm going to do more posting pictures and less talking.  Melodie's brother, Shannon, sister-in-law, Shannon, and nieces, Alexis and Faith have been here this week and we have had a very busy and exhausting week playing with the kids.  Yes, you read that right.  Shannon and Shannon or HeShannon & SheShannon or BoyShannon & GirlShannon as we sometimes call them.  It can get confusing but it works.  They have been a tremendous help and a breath of fresh air at a time when we needed it.  They came in with new crafts, stories and games and lots of extra helping hands.  The kids very much outnumbered us this week so we were so glad to have the Shannon's and crew here. We also have had the help of some of the Villa youth and that has been so nice too.  School is now officially out here in Antigua and so this past week there weren't a lot of kids there.  Most of the time there weren't even teachers there which would never fly in the states but it is normal here.

Today we took a field trip with the kids to do a service project.  We took them in the van to the soccer field to do some cleaning up to get ready for camp Monday.  The field was a big mess and the kids did a GREAT job of cleaning it up.  There was a ton of broken glass as well which is really sad but we got as much up as we could.  We talked to them a lot about service and having servant hearts. When we were finished we rewarded them with biscuits (cookies) and juice boxes.  Then we came back to the church building and made cards to welcome our Alabama guests.  Speaking of Alabama guests, we can't wait to see everyone!!!!  We are very excited to be welcoming almost 100 other faces that we know and love. Will's parents, sister and niece and nephews are coming so that is very exciting.  We also got to wrap our arms around John, Scarlett, Bonnie and Ava this week.  We are sad though to see my family leave.  It has been so nice to have all the visitors and we feel so loved and honored that they would all spend their time, money and vacation to come spread the good news with us.

Here are some pics from the week. Warning, there are a lot!!!
